My Hundred Dollar Bill

It’s hard to find the words

To explain the love I have for you...

It’s hard to describe the bond we have

For me, there’s nothing you wouldn’t do...

This true everlasting friendship

Has never been some quid pro quo...

This unconditional brotherly love

Is all we’ve ever had to know...

Who needs a hundred singles

Or friendships we forever need to refill...

When I can always count on my best brother

My Hundred Dollar Bill...

We had so many experiences,

Mostly really good, but a few somewhat bad...

We’ve enjoyed so many times together

Some totally hilarious, but a few kinda sad...

We’ve learned from all our mistakes,

We’ve matured together, into good men indeed...

We’ve celebrated with much wine, women and song

But we never shared the evil weed...

Who needs a hundred singles

Or friendships we forever need to refill...

When I can always count on my best brother

My Hundred Dollar Bill...

When I started writing a poem

To describe my love I have for my brother...

It was in the middle of my rhyming

I realized our friendship is the gift to one another...

I couldn’t have ask Our Heavenly Father

For a kinder or better friend...

And I know you’ll always be there for me

From then, to now and to the very end...

Who needs a hundred singles

Or friendships we forever need to refill...

When I can always count on my best brother

My Hundred Dollar Bill...
