Playing My Magic Horn

Since I was a young boy

I played my magic horn...

If my memory serves me

I played the first day I was born...

Instead of crying for momma’s milk

All I wanted was to play Dixieland...

Instead of going off to play dates

I wanted to travel with my band...

While the other kids ignored me

They thought I was crazy in the head...

But instead of playing with dolls or guns

I wanted to play and earn some bread...

Not everyone finds their calling

Or their special purpose in life...

But I’m just happy making magic

Avoiding other people’s strife...

So it’s with my magic horn

That I will play forever more...

And if you don’t like my music

Then walk yourself right out the door...
