Without Snowballs and Kelly



What would the world be like

Without snowballs and my Kelly?


What would apple and strawberries and grapes do

If no one turned them into jelly…


What if we ate too much Blue Bell

And we got a really sore belly…


What if we ran out of red beans

And had to stop at Trader Joe’s deli…


What would Red do

If Kelly bought a horse named Nelly?


What would the world be like

Without snowballs and my Kelly?


What if Eric ate too many red beans

And the room got a little smelly…


What if all my limericks sucked

Unlike Byron, Keats and Shelley…


How will I ever go scuba diving

Without my friend named Kelly?


In whose bed would we sit

To watch The Windsors on the telly…


What would the world be like

Without snowballs and my Kelly?

  Ruth Grace Moulon, known as Ruthie the Duck Lady, was an American woman who was a notable figure in the French Quarter of New Orleans. She was often seen riding from bar to bar on roller skates wearing eccentric furs, drinking Budweiser and smoking Kool cigarettes while accompanied by a couple of ducks.
